Sam Johnson is a Londoner who had the good fortune to wash up in beautiful Aotearoa in 2017. He runs Rhythm Ace, in Oakura, just outside New Plymouth.

With over 30 years experience writing, producing and engineering, releasing on Sunday Best / Sony BMG, plus having worked with the likes of Nick Cave / Basement Jaxx / Zero 7 /Asian Dub Foundation / Dan Carey / The Bees he is a wealth of good natured experience.

I have a horrible gear addiction, a perverse interest in tapedelays and have realised that a good coffee machine is equal to a good microphone in the smooth running of a recording studio."
